in what ways were amalickiah's tactics similar to the tactics satan uses to attempt to destroy us?
--> today what stood out to me was the phrase "poison by degrees". this is satan's best tactic. he rarely tempts us or leads us to fall all at once, but rather causes a slow and steady downfall. he poisons us by degrees so we compromise little by little until one day we have fallen farther than we thought we ever would. he is tricky that way. he makes sin so appealing and plants seeds of doubt in our minds. i picture satan as a friendly sort of guy with all kinds of tricks up his sleeve to "lead carefully away".
