2 nephi 6:8 - 7:11
in 2 nephi 6:11, jacob promised that "the Lord would be merciful" to israel. in these verses and your life, what ways do you see the Lord's mercy?
--> i believe verse 9 sums up the greatest act of mercy that God has given us. "the Lord God, the Holy One of Israel, should manifest himself unto them in the flesh; and after he should manifest himself they should scourge him and crucify him...and when they shall come to the knowledge of their Redeemer, they shall be gathered together again to the lands of their inheritance."
we have a Savior, Jesus Christ, who was sent to earth to pay the price for our sins. He suffered everything we have faced. He knows us. He know YOU. because He died and was resurrected, we will all be resurrected and given the opportunity to live with our families forever in a state of never-ending happiness. He is there to ease the burdens on your shoulders, even that you cannot feel them upon your backs. He is there to cleanse you of sin and qualify you for eternal life in His presence. He is there to lift you up when your shoulders hang down and your knees are feeble. He is there to give you confidence in the face of fear. He is there to give you peace in your times of turmoil. He is a friend to the friendless. He is there to walk beside you and carry you, when necessary. He is there to bring comfort and healing to even the deepest of wounds. He is there to triumph with you during your times of joy, to celebrate your victories with you! He is there when your heart is full of gratitude and love. HE IS THERE. He is always there.
that, to me, is THE greatest mercy i will ever receive. on this day of love, this valentines day, my heart is overflowing with love and gratitude for my dear Savior. He is my everything.
