mormon 2: 17 - 29
how is mormon's example of righteousness helpful to you?
--> mormon had so much faith. even though he was surrounded by unfortunate circumstances, and people that were less than agreeable to work with, he was so positive and lived with faith that one day things would turn out ok, and he would be with God again. he continued to encourage his people to pray and turn to God, even when he got a less than desirable response from them. he continued to live what he knew was right, even when it wasn't popular, and when it would've been easier to deny the faith and sorrow like the rest of them. sometimes when i compare the trials i am facing to the ones people in book of mormon times faced, i feel silly that i ever complain. a cold shower is nothing compared to the things these people had to face. this makes mormon's example even more impressive to me! he was truly the right man for the calling at that time.
