what can we learn from lehi offering thanks after leaving behind his home and belongings?
--> "his soul did rejoice, and his whole heart was filled." lehi recognized a greater plan than the one his family was living. he also knew enough of the mind of the Lord to recognize that there's more to life than worldly posessions. the Lord was going to preserve them and take them to a place that would be safer. lehi recognized the importance of sacrificing the worldly for what would have lasting significance.
