mosiah 4: 16 - 30
according to king benjamin, how are we al beggars? how can this understanding help us be more compassionate to others?
--> we are all beggars because we all depend on God for life. without him we would have no food or raiment or riches or life or hope for a life after this. the next verse teaches us how this knowledge can help us be understanding to others. it says, "if God, who has created you, on whom you are dependent for your lives and for all that ye have and are, doth grant unto you whatsoever ye ask that is right, in faith, believing that ye shall receive, i then, how ye ought to impart of the substance that ye have one to another." it goes on to talk about not judging your neighbor and doing all things in wisdom and order and kindness and seeking for light. i love that mindset.
