2 nephi 29: 1 - 14
how have these verses increased your appreciation for the book of mormon?
--> the cap stone of this chapter for me is verse 8, where he talks about God loving all nations the same, and if He gave a witness to one nation, why wouldn't He give it to another? God is the same yesterday, today, and forever. He always has been and always will be. He has provided multiple witnesses of truth through the bible and book of mormon.
i also like verse 10 - "because that ye have a bible, ye need not suppose that it contains all my words; neither need ye suppose that i have not caused more to be written." this goes nicely with the article of faith #9 - "we believe all the God has revealed, all that He does now reveal, and we believe He will yet reveal many great and important things pertaining to the kingdom of God." i believe that God has always revealed truth to His children on earth. that hasn't changed. He revealed truth through prophets, which became the bible, He revealed more truth through prophets, which became the book of mormon, and He still reveals truth through prophets today.
