2 nephi 31: 1 - 21
many of the most important teachings of the gospel are in these verses. what do you like most about this chapter?
--> this chapter always brings me back to my canada days as a full-time missionary. we studied and taught the doctrine of Christ a ton. like, everyday. i came to love this chapter more than any other in the book of mormon.
one verse that really stood out to me today was verse 2, when nephi says that he must speak a few words concerning the doctrine of Christ. not that he should or wants to, but must. he feels so converted and touched by the words, that he can't bear to live without telling them to someone.
verse 3 goes on to say that "the Lord God giveth light unto the understanding, for He speaketh unto men according to their language, unto their underestanding."
i have always loved this verse because it proves to me that God loves us so much that He will speak to us in a way that we, personally will understand. He will always help us understand the gospel in a way that we will get it.
