what are some opportunities young men and young women sacrifice or postpone today so they can serve missions?
--> school, scholarships, work opportunities, family events, marriage, etc. etc. the sacrifices are great when you serve a full-time mission, but the rewards far FAR outweigh what you are asked to give up. not a day goes by that i don't think about my mission: the people i met and love, the lessons i learned, the challenges i faced and the strength i gained. deciding to serve a full-time mission for the church of Jesus Christ of latter-day saints was the best decision i've made in my life up to date. wouldn't trade my experiences for the world.
