as we strive to be perfected, why is it so important to focus on our desires, thoughts, and motivations?
--> a good quote from our main man ezra t. benson: "thoughts lead to acts, acts lead to habits, habits lead to character - and our character will determine our eternal destiny." our desires, thoughts, and motivations are the very root of everything that we do. if we can't learn to control those, we can never be perfected.
