how can knowing that the Lord will fulfill the words of the prophets help you when someone ridicules your standards or persecutes you for your beliefs?
--> it doesn't matter what the world thinks... the Lord's perceptions of us are what eternally matter. having confidence in the testimony that you have is the perfect way to combat the persecution and ridicule that we face. an eternal perspective is a beautiful way to view life. one of my goals in life is to perfect my heart and my intentions so that the persecutions and wiles of the world don't affect my resolve or my self-esteem. it's a noble task, but possible with the help of the Lord.
